TRAVEL TERMS

General Terms for Bus Tours / Package Travel

ALWAYS REMEMBER PASSPORT FOR INTERNATIONAL TRIPS

These terms and conditions regulate the rights and obligations between the tour operator and the traveler. Our policy is based on the current "General Terms for Package Travel" from the Norwegian Consumer Agency. The terms apply to package travel within the definition in the Package Travel Act of August 25, 1995, §2-1, with subsequent amendments.

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT

At registration, the traveler pays a deposit of 10% per person, with a minimum of NOK 1,000. The remaining balance is due no later than 45 days before departure. If registration occurs within 45 days before departure, the entire amount must be paid. Registration is binding once the deposit is paid, and delayed payment is considered a material breach, granting the organizer the right to cancel the booking.

INFORMATION FOR THE TRAVELER

The traveler must ensure they have a valid passport, necessary visas, vaccinations, and desired insurance. Travelers from countries other than Norway must check if different regulations apply to them and are responsible for finding this information. The age limit for international travel without guardians is 18 years, though travelers from 16 years old may travel alone with written permission from guardians.

CANCELLATION

Travelers may cancel their trip before departure as follows:

  1. Cancellations more than 60 days before departure incur an administration fee of NOK 500 per person.

  2. Cancellations between 60 and 30 days before departure forfeit the deposit.

  3. Cancellations less than 30 days before departure will result in a full charge.

  4. If the traveler misses departure or lacks the necessary documentation, the full travel price will be charged.

If one or more travelers in a group cancels and the travel price was based on shared rooms, we reserve the right to charge additional fees for the remaining travelers according to current price lists.

CANCELLATION DUE TO ILLNESS

Travel insurance typically covers cancellation due to sudden and severe illness, accident, or death in the traveler’s household or immediate family (e.g., spouse, partner, children, parents, in-laws, or siblings), which makes travel impossible or inadvisable. Documentation usually requires a medical certificate. The traveler should notify us as soon as possible. We require all travelers to have travel insurance, which generally includes cancellation insurance. If your travel insurance does not cover cancellations, we recommend contacting your insurer to add it or consider switching insurance providers.

BOOKING MODIFICATIONS

Until 30 days before departure, travelers can modify their booking free of charge, provided there are no additional costs. Any extra costs due to modifications must be covered by the traveler. Modifications requested within 30 days of departure may be considered as cancellations with new bookings, depending on partner and supplier availability.

CHANGES IN PRICES, SERVICES, ETC.

We reserve the right to adjust prices due to increased taxes, changes in currency exchange rates, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. Price adjustments will not occur less than 20 days before departure. A price increase of more than 10% of the agreed purchase price grants the customer the right to cancel without penalty.

TRAVELER OBLIGATIONS

The traveler must pay the agreed fees on time and maintain valid travel insurance covering delays, luggage, valuables, travel illness, repatriation, trip interruption, liability, etc., for the trip’s duration. Travelers must be able to manage independently or with their companions and not disturb others. If a traveler seriously neglects their responsibilities, they may be excluded from the remainder of the trip without reimbursement.

ORGANIZER'S RIGHT TO CANCEL THE TRIP

  1. If an insufficient number of participants register, we may cancel the trip no later than 7 days before departure.

  2. Conditions beyond control, such as war, natural disasters, epidemics, pandemics, labor conflicts, or other force majeure events, may make it difficult or inadvisable to conduct the trip. We will notify the traveler as soon as possible. When a trip is canceled, the traveler is entitled to a full refund but may not claim compensation unless the issue was due to our error or negligence.

DEFICIENCIES/COMPLAINT DEADLINE

Complaints about accommodations, food, etc., should be made immediately to the driver, tour guide, or representative on-site. Otherwise, the traveler forfeits the right to claim deficiencies. Complaints should be submitted within 14 days after returning unless there are valid reasons for an extension.

DISPUTES

In case of disagreement over the interpretation of this contract or travel terms, travelers may submit the case to the Complaints Board for Package Travel at Postboks 2924, Solli, 0230 OSLO – phone: 22 54 60 02, within 4 weeks after the organizer’s final response. Both parties may bring the Complaint Board’s decision to court. The buyer accepts Bergen District Court as the legal venue. All claims are governed by Norwegian law.

CHANGES TO THE PROGRAM

We reserve the right to make changes after the program is printed, communicated through attachments or letters to participants. We also reserve the right to adjust routes due to unforeseen events and price or condition changes after the program is created, as well as printing errors.
