Rental Terms for RUN-WAY Updated 01/03/2023

General

· These travel terms are part of the agreement between the customer and RunWay.

· The assignment is considered booked and confirmed once the customer has received an order confirmation.

· It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the billing address and all contact details are correct.

· If there are any circumstances related to the transport assignment we should be aware of in advance—such as excessive luggage, stops along the way, special routes, etc.—this must be communicated prior to departure.

· Additional services such as extra luggage, catering, Wi-Fi, and extra stops must be explicitly booked at least 7 days before the trip and cannot be expected unless ordered and confirmed in advance. These services are priced separately.

Cancellations and Delays

· If canceled less than 7 days before the scheduled transport, the customer will be charged 50% of the agreed price.

· If canceled less than 24 hours before the scheduled transport, the customer will be charged 100% of the agreed price.

· For multi-day trips, 100% of the agreed price will be charged if canceled less than 7 days before departure.

· For delays beyond the transport provider’s control, a fee of NOK 500 + VAT will be charged per commenced half hour.

· Notifications of changes or cancellations are only handled during the company’s office hours.

Traffic Safety

· Our buses are equipped with seatbelts. It is the passenger’s responsibility to use them.

· Our drivers operate in accordance with driving and rest time regulations. On longer trips, if necessary, driving may be paused to comply with these rules.

General Rules on the Bus

· Consumption of alcohol on the bus is not permitted unless otherwise informed in advance.

· Passengers must be considerate of others and follow safety and comfort rules onboard.

· Passengers are responsible for any damage they cause to the bus—windows, seats, sound systems, toilets, etc.

· Smoking and the use of any intoxicants are strictly prohibited. Staff may deny boarding to passengers who appear intoxicated.

· Passengers who behave inappropriately or disturb others, or who do not follow the rules, may be removed if they fail to comply with the driver’s instructions.

Luggage

· Passengers may bring one piece of hand luggage that fits under the seat or in the overhead compartment.

· In addition, one piece of luggage per person is allowed. Maximum size and weight per item: height (A) + length (B) + depth (C) = 175 cm / 23 kg. Additional luggage must be agreed upon with the company in advance.

· All luggage must be securely packed to avoid damaging other items. The driver may refuse luggage that is not properly packed.

· Passengers are responsible for collecting their own luggage when disembarking.

· All luggage must be clearly labeled with name and phone number.

· The bus company cannot verify luggage ownership and is not liable for lost or damaged luggage caused by other passengers.

Lost or Damaged Luggage

· If luggage is forgotten, stolen, or damaged, the passenger must contact the bus company directly.

· All compensation claims must be made directly to the company. The following rules apply to luggage damage or loss: the transport provider is not liable for items brought free of charge unless willful misconduct or gross negligence by staff can be proven. Otherwise, liability is governed by the Motor Vehicle Liability Act of February 3, 1961.

Animals on the Bus

· Guide dogs, service dogs, police dogs, and rescue dogs on duty or in training are always permitted.

· For other animals, the passenger must contact the operating bus company in advance.

Payment / Toll / Ferries

· Payment terms are net 10 days. In some cases, advance payment may be required.

· Tolls/ferries are calculated for the full round trip from start to end point.

· Extra cleaning due to littering will be charged at NOK 700 per hour. Littering includes spills of chips, chocolate, ice cream, snus, and failure to use waste bins. Vomit cleanup is charged at NOK 3,000 per incident.

Complaints

· Refund claims or travel complaints must be submitted in writing to the bus company within 14 days from the travel date.

· Passengers who do not receive compensation or satisfaction can escalate complaints to the Transport Complaints Board.

· Any disputes must be resolved directly with the bus company.

Legal Venue

· The parties agree that Bergen District Court (Hordaland District Court) shall be the legal venue for this agreement.
